Welcome to Sierra Vista, the Alpaca Stud
farm with Accommodation. We are situated in Swannanoa, North
Canterbury, and set in 10 acres of attractive countryside
with beautiful vistas of the foothills towards the Southern
Alps.
Whether you’re an experienced alpaca
breeder looking for a premium quality Alpaca stud, new to these fascinating and beautiful animals,
or just want to spend time in a country environment, you will
enjoy staying at Sierra Vista Alpacas with Diane & Graham.
Our enthusiasm and love for alpaca was
kindled a number of years ago and influenced us to pursue
our passion. We are a relatively small specialist Alpaca
stud. Our main goal is breeding and improving Peruvian
Huacayas and we maintain a programme for infusion of fresh
bloodlines from the best available genetics both in NZ and
overseas. We are proud to be directly associated with stud
males such as Brujo, Emon, Belmont all of these are
household names throughout the NZ industry. We are amongst
the leaders in production of quality animals noted for fibre
characteristics such as fineness, lustre and handle. We have
females in Australia, which we are putting to some of
Australias best Alpaca stud males. The progeny of which are
coming to NZ to help with our Alpaca breeding program. Like
most alpaca breeders we are more than happy to pass on what
knowledge we have gained along the way so dont hesitate to
contact us for a chat.
